Mediven participated in the “Updates in Microbiology 2016” on 3rd September 2016 at Hospital Sultanah Bahiyah, Alor Setar. With the emergence of new infectious diseases and also the re-emergence of “old” infectious diseases, there have been updates in the field of clinical diagnostics. An up-to-date information and views of clinical diagnostics in Malaysia were gained through this event.
This event was organized by Hospital Sultanah Bahiyah, in collaboration with Malaysian Society of Infectious Diseases and Chemotherapy (MSIDC) and Persatuan Perubatan Pascasiswazah (PGMES) Hospital Sultanah Bahiyah. This event revolved around the latest global outbreak of Zika virus infection, the newest development in the diagnosis of infectious diseases as well as the future outlook of clinical diagnosis in Malaysia. We took the opportunity to promote our molecular diagnostic tools: GenoAmp® Real-Time test kit series, ProDetect™ rapid test series, Wondfo Finecare FIA Meter, and Nanobiosys Ultra Fast Sample Prep machine in conjunction with this happening event.
These are some of our available products capable of early diagnosis and screening for infectious diseases. We had a productive exchange with participants on the technical aspect of clinical diagnostics as well as gaining insight into the utility of Mediven’s products to better support disease diagnosis.
